1. Agreement Overview
The terms and conditions presented herein establish the agreement between you and Gatwick Local Cars. By booking a taxi and utilizing our service, you unequivocally accept the terms and conditions as outlined in this agreement.
2. Definitions
Gatwick Local Cars, referred to as "we" or "us," denotes the service-providing company. The terms "you" and "your" pertain to any individual, business, or company making a booking with us.
3. Booking
3.1 Time Allocation
You must allocate sufficient time for your journey to ensure timely arrival, especially for airport transfers requiring specific check-in times. Gatwick Local Cars is not accountable for delays resulting from inadequate time allocation or unpreparedness at the scheduled pick-up time.
3.2 Car Size and Special Requests
You are responsible for selecting a car of appropriate size for passengers and luggage. No guarantee is provided for excessive luggage. Child passengers, regardless of age, are considered single passengers. Requests for wheelchair access should be made during booking.
4. Prices & Payment
4.1 Quotation Basis
Our quotes are based on the information provided by you. Prices, unless stated otherwise, exclude VAT, which will be charged separately if applicable. We reserve the right to modify quotes in case of significant itinerary changes.
4.2 Waiting Periods
Our quotes include a 45-minute waiting period after the designated landing time and cover airport parking costs. Any additional waiting time will be charged at the standard Gatwick Local Cars waiting rate. While we make efforts to accommodate flight delays, we are not obligated to do so.
4.3 Confirmation
Upon accepting our quote, you will receive a booking confirmation. It is your responsibility to review and ensure its accuracy. Failure to notify Gatwick Local Cars of any discrepancies absolves us of responsibility for resulting delays or costs.
4.4 Payment Options
Payments for our services can be made in cash, credit card, or debit card.
5. The Service
5.1 Passenger Behavior
You are accountable for the behavior of all passengers during the journey. Charges may apply for vehicle soiling, damage, or negative impact caused by passengers.
5.2 Restrictions
Eating, drinking, and smoking are strictly prohibited in the vehicle. Children must be appropriately restrained based on their height, weight, and age. The number of passengers must not exceed licensing or insurance limits.
6. Cancellations
6.1 Timely Notification
If you need to cancel a booking, prompt notification is essential. Failure to cancel before dispatch may incur charges based on the driver's time and distance to the cancellation point.
6.2 Online Booking
Cancellation charges may apply for online bookings canceled before dispatch.
7. Liability
7.1 Delay Liability
While we strive for punctuality, we are not liable for losses due to delays beyond our control. Gatwick Local Cars is not responsible for any losses incurred by you or your business.
7.2 Luggage Risk
Your luggage is carried at your own risk. In case of a breakdown, we will endeavor to provide an alternative car to complete the journey promptly.
7.3 Indemnification
You will not indemnify Gatwick Local Cars for expenses, damages, costs, or losses resulting from any act or omission by anyone in your party.
7.4 Liability Limitations
No party can exclude or limit liability for personal injury, death, negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful default, or matters deemed unenforceable by applicable laws.
8. Termination
8.1 Immediate Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or refuse a booking immediately if any vehicle or driver is endangered by abuse, violence, or damage from you or any other passenger. No refunds will be provided for terminated journeys.
9. Miscellaneous
9.1 Subcontracting
Gatwick Local Cars may subcontract obligations stated in this agreement. You may not assign, delegate, or transfer any obligations or rights under this agreement.
9.2 Terms Amendment
Gatwick Local Cars may alter terms and conditions by updating this page. Regularly review these terms for changes. Existing bookings will be honored at the rates in effect at the time of booking.
9.3 Data Protection
We handle information according to the Data Protection Act of 1988.
9.4 Full Agreement
This agreement constitutes the complete understanding between Gatwick Local Cars and yourself.
9.5 Third-Party Rights
Nothing in these terms and conditions confers advantages or benefits to third parties. Third parties cannot enforce rights under this agreement without a written agreement.
10. Disputes
Disputes or claims must be made within 30 days from the booking pickup date. Gatwick Local Cars is not obliged to address claims or disputes made after this period.
